Creative direction in collaboration with SpecialGuestXIn a time when humans consult machines before making decisions, Delegate Thinking is a series of REAL luxury devices that act as contemporary oracles and question how we relate to AI models and decision-making.
Aesthetically, they move away from the tech-bro imaginary and closer to Art Deco, jewellery, and ritual objects. Handcrafted in Beatriz Palacios’ workshop, each piece encapsulates a different logic of interaction: a powder compact that responds with a color: red or blue; a gold and mother-of-pearl box whose ruby pulses while generating cryptic combinations such as “Love Sharply” or “Stop Silence”; and a pocket watch with an emerald that returns a precise, decontextualized time, ready to be interpreted.
The language models that power the pieces do not seek accuracy, but ambiguity. They do not solve: they suggest. They do not close: they open. The decision remains human.
The project proposes a critical deviation from the dominant imaginary of AI as a system of efficiency and control. Here, artificial intelligence becomes an almost ritualistic device, close to the esoteric, where the value lies not in the answer but in the act of interpretation.
Perfectly designed to be ambiguos.
The project sits at the intersection of technology, symbolism, and craft.
They don’t give you answers. They give you outputs:
A color.
A time.
A set of words.
The meaning: That’s yours to assign.
The packaging includes a quote by Goethe: “At the Moment of commitment, the entire universe conspires to assist you.” A phrase that shifts agency away from the machine and toward the human act of deciding.
